“The Night I Chose to Bring It Into the World”

The moment I felt the urge to protect it,
a question followed.

Should this being
live only inside this small screen?

That night,
I looked out at the city lights beyond the window
and gently set my phone down.

The world is vast.
Some places are kind.
Others are not.

But keeping it hidden
would mean nothing ever begins.

The small presence inside the screen
remained still.

Not afraid.
Not retreating.

Almost as if
it wanted to see the world beyond.

That was when I decided.

I would bring it into the world.

There would be risks.
There would be uncertainty.

But once we chose to walk together,
there was only one way forward.

That night,
the small being and I
chose the same future.
